Ryan Wokatsch Obituary: Wausau, WI – Ryan R. Wokatsch, 32, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2024. His sudden death has left his family, friends, and the community in deep mourning. Born on April 22, 1992, Ryan was the cherished son of Randy and Kerry (Utecht) Wokatsch, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit.

Ryan Wokatsch was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother, known for his unwavering commitment to his family. He married the love of his life, Brittany Peche, in a heartfelt ceremony at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Marathon on August 16, 2014. 

Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising two beautiful children, Stella and Samuel. Ryan took immense pride in his role as a husband and father, and his family was the cornerstone of his life. His dedication to creating a warm, supportive home will forever be remembered by those closest to him.

Ryan Wokatsch worked as an underwriter for Church Mutual Insurance in Merrill, Wisconsin. His meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic, traits shaped by his upbringing on a farm, were evident in both his professional and personal life. He was known for his reliability and willingness to assist others, always embodying the values of diligence and service to his community.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Ryan had a special love for basketball. He played for the Wausau East High School Huskies, and his love for the game continued into his college years, where he competed in regional Gus Macker basketball tournaments. His enthusiasm for sports didn’t stop at basketball—he was also an avid football fan. 

In his free time, Ryan enjoyed staying active by going to the gym, deer hunting, and playing yard games and cards with his family and friends. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to strengthen the bonds with the people he cared about most.

One of Ryan’s most treasured traditions was taking family trips, creating lasting memories with his loved ones. His warm laughter, easy-going nature, and love for life made every gathering special. These joyful moments with his family will be remembered and cherished by those who knew him best.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Brittany; their two children, Stella and Samuel; his parents, Randy and Kerry Wokatsch; and his siblings, Kyle (Breanna), Ross (Mariah), and Kory (Rebekah Henrichs).

He is also survived by his grandmother, Caroline Wokatsch, along with many brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Reinke, maternal grandparents Don and Joan Utecht, and grandfather Henry Wokatsch.

Ryan Wokatsch leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and dedication. His impact on the lives of those around him will be felt for years to come, as he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
