Carole Lyles Shaw became a prominent figure in the quilting scene as a Board Member of the Modern Quilt Guild. Her passion for modern quilting, coupled with her remarkable talent and dedication, quickly earned her respect and influence in the field. Transitioning from a guild leader to a sought-after teacher and business owner, Carole inspired countless quilters with her innovative designs and techniques.

One of the pinnacles of Carole’s career was her participation in the “Break My Soul” exhibit at the Road to California earlier this year. Her acclaimed works, “Afro Moderne #1” (2018) and “MidCentury Modern Curve: Graffiti #1” (2018), were highlights of the exhibit, captivating many with their unique blend of modern aesthetics and cultural significance.
