Death: Giovanni Cesar, Wichita Falls Resident, Died in a Fatal Shooting Incident

Giovanni Cesar Death & Obituary: Wichita Falls Police have identified Giovanni Cesar, 27, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a local club. The tragic incident took place at the West End Pub and Pool, located near the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Kemp Boulevard. Authorities responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 1:42 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Police Respond to Shooting at West End Pub and Pool

Sgt. Charlie Eipper, Public Information Officer for the Wichita Falls Police Department (WFPD), confirmed that officers arrived at the scene and discovered the lifeless body of Giovanni Cesar in the parking lot. Evidence of gunfire was found at the scene, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.

Shortly after securing the location, detectives from the WFPD’s Crimes Against Persons Unit were called in to investigate the shooting further.

Second Gunshot Victim Found at Local Hospital

While investigating the scene, authorities were alerted to the arrival of a second gunshot victim at United Regional’s emergency room. The victim, a 20-year-old male, had suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was later transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment. Detectives interviewed the victim to gather additional information regarding the incident.

Investigation Ongoing

Sgt. Eipper stated that detectives are actively working on the case, speaking with witnesses and reviewing any available footage of the shooting. While no arrests have been made at this time, investigators believe the incident was isolated and does not pose an ongoing threat to the public.
