Mackenzie Corbin Passed Away: The Wilmington College community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of sophomore Mackenzie Corbin, who passed away unexpectedly overnight. Mackenzie, an agribusiness major from South Salem, Ohio, was a beloved member of the Sigma Alpha sorority. Her untimely passing has deeply affected everyone on campus, prompting the college to offer support to students, faculty, and staff during this challenging time.

Wilmington College Grieves the Loss of Mackenzie Corbin

In response to this devastating loss, Wilmington College has canceled all classes on Monday, August 19, to allow the campus community to come together and support one another. The college has arranged for professional counseling services to be available for those affected by Mackenzie’s passing. These services will be offered on Sunday, August 18, until 8 p.m., and will continue on Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Counselors will be available at several locations across campus, including the T. Canby Jones Meetinghouse, the McCoy Room of Kelly Center, Thomas Lounge in Pyle Center, and Rooms 148 and 149 in the Center for the Sciences and Agriculture.
